Tournament Tradition
Team players exchange gifts with the opposing team at each match prior to play. Teams can expect in club division to need # of players X 5-6 matches. Power division will be 7-8 matches.
It is the responsibility of the team/club to verify we have you registered in the correct tournament. Check each tournament page (or search by team search options) after you register to verify you have entered correct tournament date and information. Team Late Fee of $20 must be remitted for entries remitted within two weeks of tournament. START TIMES: All region tournaments will begin at 8:30am, unless otherwise posted. Gyms open at 8am, All teams must report to captains meeting at 8:15 in the event of schedule change. USAV ROSTERS REQUIRED: Teams must print from webpoint and bring two copies of your team roster to each tournament. Acceptance requires region receiving (1) Online Confirmation Entry Form (2) Entry Fee (3) If you are remitting multiple entries- do a search under club or team search and remit that report with payment that balances what is owed on all entries. REQUIRED: Do a team search after entering and make sure all your info is correct and showing up. Completed Roster from USAV database( if in region) . Mailing postage date of first items above determines priority of who is accepted. Out of Region Team Withdrawals: Out of Region Division of Play If you play power (Platinum or Gold) within your region, you must enter Power division within the Palmetto Region.
OFFICIATING REQUIREMENTS: Palmetto Region requires that while on officiating duty, no one is to have in possession a cell phone, I-pod or song listening device, or food. This includes R1 Up Ref, R2 Down Ref, Line Judges and especially, scorekeepers. First offense will be a warning, 2nd offense will be loss of official certification, 3rd may include sanction from tournament play. PARENTS/COACHES: Palmetto Region has a NO-TOLERANCE policy on screaming, yelling, or making any derogatory remarks to ANY official ( Up ref, down ref, or line judges). Keep in mind.. they are human.. and most of the time they are kids. Penalty is immediate dismissal from gym, no warning. Region teams may face sanction to participate in future tournaments. We would prefer a parent flip scores. |
